Question 1

What can I compare with this tool?

Accepted Answer

You can compare virtually anything: research papers, products, technologies, methodologies, historical events, business strategies, scientific theories, books, or any two topics you need analyzed side by side. Just provide text for each item you want compared.

Question 2

How does the consensus meter work?

Accepted Answer

The consensus meter analyzes all comparison criteria and calculates what percentage favor each item versus how many are evenly split. It's displayed as a visual gauge bar showing the overall balance, helping you quickly understand which item has the stronger overall position.

Question 3

How do comparison charts work?

Accepted Answer

When enabled, the AI generates scores for each comparison criterion for both items. These are displayed as color-coded horizontal bar charts, making it easy to see at a glance how the items compare across different dimensions.

Question 4

What is criteria weighting?

Accepted Answer

After running a comparison, you can adjust the importance of each criterion using sliders (1-10). This lets you customize the analysis based on your priorities. For example, if cost is more important than features, increase the cost weight, then run the comparison again — the new weights are applied to the next analysis and shape the updated verdict.

Question 5

How is the comparison objective?

Accepted Answer

The AI strives for balanced, objective analysis by evaluating both items against the same criteria and presenting pros and cons for each. However, AI analysis should supplement, not replace, your own critical evaluation — especially for high-stakes decisions.

Question 6

Can I specify my own comparison criteria?

Accepted Answer

The AI auto-selects criteria based on the content, but you can guide the comparison by including specific aspects in your input text. After the first comparison, use the criteria weighting sliders to emphasize the dimensions most important to you.

Question 7

How are scores calculated?

Accepted Answer

The AI assigns relative scores based on its analysis of each item's strengths and weaknesses against each criterion. Scores are comparative between the two items, not absolute ratings. They help visualize trade-offs rather than provide definitive rankings.

Question 8

Can I use the comparison for academic work?

Accepted Answer

The tool provides a useful starting point for comparative analysis, but for academic work, always verify the AI's analysis against the original sources and supplement with your own critical evaluation. Use it as a research aid, not a substitute for thorough academic analysis.
