Question 1

How does the AI generate mind maps?

Accepted Answer

Simply enter a topic or paste notes, and our AI analyzes the content to create a structured mind map with 3-5 main branches and relevant sub-topics. The AI understands context, relationships, and hierarchy to produce logically organized visual maps.

Question 2

Can I edit the mind map after it's generated?

Accepted Answer

You can switch between Visual canvas, Tree, and List views, and click any node to select it. The full Mermaid code is one click away via the Copy Code button — paste it into any Mermaid editor (mermaid.live, Notion, GitHub) to edit nodes there. The canvas provides zoom and drag-to-pan controls for exploring large maps.

Question 3

What are the available layout styles?

Accepted Answer

The layout style you pick guides how the AI organizes the branches: Radial groups ideas around the central topic, Tree builds a parent-child hierarchy, Org Chart structures team-style groupings, and Fishbone organizes causes and effects. The canvas renders the result as a clean top-down diagram — to change the drawn shape itself, paste the copied Mermaid code into any Mermaid editor.

Question 4

Can I export my mind map?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can export your mind map as a PNG image directly from the canvas view, or copy the Mermaid code for use in documentation, GitHub README files, or any tool that supports Mermaid syntax.

Question 5

How many nodes can the AI generate?

Accepted Answer

The AI typically generates 8-15 nodes with 3-5 main branches, ensuring comprehensive coverage without overwhelming complexity. You can always expand branches by providing more detailed notes.

Question 6

What is Mermaid code?

Accepted Answer

Mermaid is a popular text-based diagramming language. The mind map is generated as Mermaid code, which can be rendered visually on our canvas or used in any platform that supports Mermaid diagrams, including GitHub, GitLab, and Notion.

Question 7

Can I use mind maps for collaborative work?

Accepted Answer

Currently mind maps are for individual use. You can share them by exporting the image or Mermaid code. The Mermaid code format makes it easy to version-control and collaborate through Git repositories.

Question 8

Is my data private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your topics and notes are processed to generate the mind map and are not stored on our servers after your session ends. Canvas rendering happens entirely in your browser.
