Question 2

How do scenario roleplays work?

Accepted Answer

Choose a scenario like 'At a Café' or 'Job Interview' and the AI will set up that context. You'll practice the specific vocabulary and grammar needed for that situation. It's like role-playing in a safe environment where mistakes are learning opportunities.

Question 3

What is CEFR and how does tracking work?

Accepted Answer

CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) is an international standard for language proficiency from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient). Set your target level and the AI adjusts difficulty accordingly. You'll see progress updates across reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Question 4

How do flashcards work?

When 'Generate Flashcards' is enabled, the AI creates vocabulary flashcards during your conversation. Each card has a front (target language word), back (translation), and optional example. Click to reveal answers and save cards to your Vocabulary Bank.

Question 5

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Select 'Beginner' as your proficiency level, and the AI will use simpler vocabulary, provide more translations and explanations, and offer extra support. The conversation starts from basics and builds gradually.

Question 6

How is this different from Duolingo?

Accepted Answer

While Duolingo uses fixed exercises, our Language Tutor offers free-form conversation with AI that adapts to you. You can discuss any topic, practice real-world scenarios, get detailed grammar explanations, and receive personalized corrections — not just right/wrong feedback.

Question 7

How do grammar corrections work?

Accepted Answer

When you make a grammar mistake, the tutor will gently correct it and explain the rule behind the correction. You'll also get mini grammar lessons embedded in the conversation for deeper understanding.

Question 8

Can I use this for exam preparation?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Whether you're preparing for AP exams, DELE, JLPT, DELF, or other language certifications, set your CEFR target level and the tutor will calibrate to that standard. Mention your exam type for targeted practice.
